How Much Does a Wedding Planner Cost in Orlando?
A wedding planner in Orlando costs very different amounts depending on how much of the planning you hand over. With Diamond Receptions, day-of coordination starts at $1,495, partial planning starts at $6,000, and full service planning and design starts at $12,000. Those are my real prices, and they are listed on my website because you should not have to fill out a form to find out whether you can afford someone.
I cannot tell you what every planner charges, and I would not trust a post that claimed to. What I can do is show you exactly what each price covers, what moves the number up or down, and the question I think every couple should ask before signing with anyone.
What does day-of wedding coordination cost?
Day-of coordination with Flawless Finish starts at $1,495. Flawless Finish Deluxe starts at $1,895, and the difference is the rehearsal.
Here is what most couples do not expect. A lot of day-of coordination begins four to six weeks before the wedding. Mine begins the day you book, with unlimited communication, monthly check-ins, and a full review of your vendor contracts. On the wedding day, I am on site two hours before your event begins and I stay until your final exit, not just until the cake is cut.
The Deluxe tier adds a full ceremony rehearsal that I lead on a separate day, a venue walkthrough, a room diagram for both spaces, and an emergency kit. If your ceremony has a wedding party and family members who need to know where to stand, that rehearsal is usually worth the difference.
What does partial wedding planning cost?
Partial planning with Pink Diamond starts at $6,000. It is built for couples who have already booked a venue and a date and have now hit the hundred smaller decisions nobody warned them about.
That price includes unlimited communication from the day you sign, negotiation and review of your key vendor contracts, up to two venue site visits, room-by-room design guidance, a minute-by-minute timeline, custom room diagrams, and I lead your rehearsal myself. On the wedding day, I coordinate every vendor and venue, and I am the one running your day.
What does full service wedding planning cost?
Full service planning and design with Blue Diamond starts at $12,000. This is for couples starting from the beginning, often with a date and not much else.
I handle the venue search, every vendor, the budget, the design, the guest list, the invitations, the rehearsal, and the wedding day itself. Blue Diamond also includes up to two additional event days, like a welcome party or a rehearsal dinner, because most weddings are no longer a single afternoon.
What makes the price go up or down?
For full service and partial planning, the final number depends on your guest count, your venue, and how much design work your day calls for. A 75-guest garden ceremony and a 250-guest ballroom reception with custom design are very different amounts of work, and the price reflects that.
I give every couple a real figure before they are asked to commit to anything, and I will tell you honestly if a different package is the better fit, even when it is the least expensive one.
How do wedding planners get paid, and how do you know you are not being marked up?
This is the question I wish more couples asked, so I will answer it for how I work.
Early in my career, someone in this industry told me plainly that I should upcharge my vendors. Call the florist, find out what she would charge, quote the couple a higher number, and keep the difference. I tried it once. I was sick over it, and I never did it again.
Here is how I structure things instead. You hire me first and tell me what you need. I reach out to every vendor on your behalf and negotiate the price. Once a vendor agrees, the contract is sent to me in your name, before it reaches you, so I can review every line. Only then does it go to you for signature, and once it is signed, your deposit goes directly to the vendor, not through me.
That structure makes marking up a vendor impossible. You see every discount in writing, because it is your name on the contract.
Whoever you hire, ask these three questions:
Whose name is on each vendor contract?
Does my deposit go directly to the vendor?
Can I see each vendor's original quote?
A planner who is happy to answer all three has nothing to hide.
Is a wedding planner worth the cost?
For many couples, yes, and the reason is usually money, not just convenience. A planner who reads your contracts catches the charges that show up on a final invoice, like service charges that are not gratuity or overtime rates that begin the minute the timeline slips. A planner with long vendor relationships can also negotiate. [OPTIONAL: add one real example here, like the photo booth replacement that came in $350 below the original price, or the engagement party where negotiated vendors saved a couple $13,000. Use only a story you are comfortable sharing.]
The other half is time. Most couples hire me because they realize how much of planning happens on weekday afternoons while they are supposed to be at work.
How do I choose the right planner for my wedding?
Start with how much help you actually need. If you have not booked your venue, full planning is usually right, because the venue contract locks in more decisions than anything else you will sign. If you have a venue and a date, partial planning is usually the fit. If you have planned everything yourself and just do not want to solve problems on the day, day-of coordination is plenty.

Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book a wedding planner? As soon as you have a date, and ideally before you sign a venue contract, since that contract locks in the most decisions. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway.
What is the difference between a wedding planner and a day-of coordinator? A planner works with you from venue search through the last dance. A day-of coordinator runs the wedding you planned yourself. The difference most couples care about is when you get access to that person. With me, day-of clients can reach me from the day the contract is signed.
Do wedding planners take commissions from vendors? Not with me. Vendors are paid directly by you, and any discount I negotiate goes to you in writing.
Can I hire a planner if I have already booked some vendors? Yes. I work with the team you have and review those contracts too, so you know what you have actually agreed to.
